As a few of you know, PC Gamer came out with a super special GuildWars issue this month (was put on stands September 25th) that is loaded with 50 pages of GW art, a walkthrough (I heard) for GW:EN, and most deliciously, a bunch of Guild Wars 2 related stuff. Anyway, due to a production error, a fairly large article got left out of the magazine, and so you can read it's entirety on PC Gamer's site (on a note; if you buy the magazine, it comes with a key to unlock a Destroyer mini-pet =O);
The Movement of the World
A Guild Wars 2 History Lesson, by Ree Soesbee
It's a long read that basically summarizes everything that is supposed to happen between Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2. If you're like me, then you are the kind of person who gets giddy over stuff like this (I read the whole thing basically fixated on every word). If you aren't, it's still interesting as it sets up what the world will be like in GW2 if you're planning on getting it. Here's a few points from the article that I think are of interest;

If you aren't, it's still interesting as it sets up what the world will be like in GW2 if you're planning on getting it. Here's a few points from the article that I think are of interest;
- The continent of Orr rises from the ocean during a cataclysmic event which majorly effects the continent of Tyria (and Elona)
- Kryta is the last human kingdom still around, and has become a melting pot of Krytans, Ascalonian, Elonian, and Canthan refugees. Kryta is ruled by a Queen and has a democratic system of government. Lion's Arch gets flooded by the tidal wave caused by Orr's rise and becomes the center of PvP (since the Battle Isles also get flodded). A new capital city is formed on the Divinity Coast called Divinity's Reach
- Cantha is basically under the rule of a tyrannical emporer who conquers and assimilates the Kurzicks and Luxons (nooooo!) before getting rid of all the non-humans on the continent (Tengu, basically). This is why there are Canthan refugees in Kryta
- Palawa Joko basically pwns Elona, and in the process dams the River Elon, which backs up and turns the Crystal Desert green. The Sunspears get their asses royally handed to them and become wanderers in their nation (this is why there are Elonian Refugees in Kryta). The Order of Whispers, of course, knew all this shit was going to go down and are working to secret ends, as they usually do
- All the races are now on equal ground in terms of power (previously, the Humans were dominant as many of you know). The Charr and Ascalonian humans still hate each other. The Charr and the Norn have a sort of mutual respect for each other, but no formal alliance. Asura hate everyone. Sylvari are a new race and are very curious, who have telepathic abilities (?). Guilds are still a major part of the world.
- Oh yeah, and Dragons.
